Getting back to work

I’ve had a bit of a break after my review a few weeks ago. I’ve been thinking about how to implement some of the feedback into a better final product.

I realized that I’ve strayed from the initial idea/theme that I had for the book, which is understandable since I’d written the ending in September of 2013 and the story leading up to it unfolded over the almost 2 years since then. The ending isn’t incompatible, but it’s more that it’s not what I’m trying to say anymore.

So basically I have to make a couple decisions and then do a few little edits That’s what I’m going to be working on today. Getting things lined up for a slightly different ending. I’m still looking at finishing this draft by the end of September, so I better get to work.

I’m listening to a lot of . . .And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead lately. It helps me focus. No new music has really come up on my radar lately, so I guess I’ll keep going with what works.
